This season has been a huge success both on and off the field. In this year’s BFA summer League 2011 we have outwitted our personal goal and have successfully finished third, missing out by only a few odd points as champions. This is an excellent achievement for the team and well done!
I would like to thank the managers Hassan Khan and Mojidur Rahman who have been instrumental to the club from the very beginning. They have done a fantastic job with the management of the team and the club. I would also like to thank the club’s general secretary Shamiur Rahman for his commitment and dedication, and working tirelessly in securing funds from Awards for All to engage young people into our organisation by running a youth project for 11-16 year olds within the community. And sometimes his hard-work off the field gets unnoticed by existing members. Congratulations to team captain Shahidul Kabir, who is possibly the youngest captain in the league. You are a great leader and your performances have been magnificent this season and remember you were nominated not only by the management team but also by your colleagues.
ACE FC has a very big squad and also a lot of admiration from players from opposition teams, managers and sponsors. I believe this is down to all the players and the way the club is managed. I believe that by having the correct infrastructure put in place, people are now recognising and admiring our brand of football. Our success and achievement is not only down to the management team but each and every single squad member.
I believe we are in very safe hands with Hassan, Mojidur and Shamiur and Shahidul being the core people of ACE FC. I urge for us to go into the Inner London Football League 2011/12 season with great confidence and with the objective of winning the league. And personally I don’t see any obstacle for us not to.
I wish you all to have an enjoyable and peaceful break from football during the holy month of Ramadhan, and most of all to stay safe.
